The Costa Linda Beach Resort (CLBR) hosted the 10th Annual Tom and Gerry Horseshoe Tourney on 26 February 2020.
Tom Futch and Gerry Carnes, long-time owners at CLBR, started the event in 2010. The tourney has gradually grown over the years. Beverages and lunch were served to all participants including wives and children.
This year’s winners were Ernie Morin from Hampstead, NH and Don Hudson from Hershey, PA. Second place went to Will Futch from Washington DC and Fred Tilton from Nantucket, MA.
It was a fantastic finish with Will and Fred working their way through the loser’s bracket to meet the undefeated team of Ernie and Don in the championship round. However, Ernie was unstoppable with 5 “ringers” in the final game to give Don and Ernie a win and the “southern Caribbean championship”.
