On Friday May 4 Barbulet Concierge officially launched during a stylish cocktail reception at one of Barbulet’s showcase rental villas in Opal.
Owner and founder of Barbulet Concierge is Ms. Freya Kraag, who started with the idea of running an agency for tailor-made concierge services and delivering personal vacation assistance for visitors of Aruba that don’t stay in bigger resorts, offering full on-island assistance and concierge services. Barbulet Concierge is the first personal concierge service of its kind on the island.
The mission at Barbulet Concierge Aruba is to assist visitors in planning their Aruba vacation and provide them with a relaxing and worry free visit to the island by taking care of all their vacation arrangements. In other words: “Stress less, enjoy Aruba more”. Whether seeking an island jeep tour, a night out on the town, a lavish spa treatment or assistance with grocery shopping, hiring a private chef, babysitting, transportation or arranging amenities, Barbulet Concierge can arrange it. They also offer the coordination of renewal of vows, weddings, events, VIP services and scouting services for the perfect accommodation.
The word ‘Barbulet’ means butterfly in Papiamento, which is the main language spoken on Aruba. The business name Barbulet Concierge Aruba came from Freya’s love for butterflies. “For the past four years I nurtured my brain-child Barbulet Concierge, tested it and perfected it, based on feedback from vendors and clients, until I felt confident that I had created a business that can stand on its own two feet, and that I can rely on strong relationships built with third parties over the past years, like rental homes, private chefs, water and land activities and much more,” said Ms. Kraag.
Ms. Kraag has a degree in hotel management and has been in the service industry for 10 years. She started her career at the Aruba Marriott Resort as Concierge Agent and later was promoted to Executive Admin Assistant and Front Desk Manager at Marriott’s Surf Club. Ms. Kraag also worked as Front Office Manager at the award-winning Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort and as Quality Assurance Manager at the Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa, one of the most popular low-rise hotels on the island. Ms. Kraag enjoys working in the hospitality industry and it was from her first job as Concierge Agent that she realized how passionate she was about vacation planning and assisting guests to make their vacation an unforgettable one. She turned her passion into a business and today assists visitors around the world with planning memorable vacation experiences in Aruba.
