Caribbean Palm Village Resort Rewards Second Quarter Winners

Winning team members at the Caribbean Palm Village Resort were recognized!

Employee awards for the second quarter of 2019 were handed out at an informal gathering, attended by Mary Werleman, Human Resources Manager, and Interim General Manager Astrid Muller.

The nominees for the Employee of the Second Quarter title included Teddy Piña, Maintenance

Elvis Tromp, Accounting, and Kenjah Howell, Front-Desk.

The high-achieving employees were all praised by their managers for their outstanding performance during the months of April, May & June 2019.

Alfredo Sotillo, Housekeeping Laundry Supervisor, received most praise as the winner of the 2rd quarter’s top honors, a hard worker, who has been very loyal to the company for almost 29 years of service. Sotillo, who is passionate about hospitality, comes to work with a smile, and regularly shares his jokes and light-hearted observations with his colleagues.

Muller explains, that many employees working at Caribbean Palm Village Resort went the extra miles for various reasons, going above and beyond the call of duty, in the last quarter. They were all recognized for their outstanding conduct by their colleagues who lauded them on their desire to satisfy guests and members, and provide genuinely warm hospitality.

Extra Miles nominees for the 2nd Quarter of 2019 included: Janet Herrera, Cesar Martinez, Janet Brinkmann, Elsa Croes, Juanita Dorothal and Cristina Galindo Housekeeping; Evelyne Boekhoudt, Kenjah Howell and Jasmine Maduro, Front-Desk; Elvis Tromp and Adriana Tromp, Accounting; Mislady Fingal, Activities; Teddy Piña, Maintenance and Mary Werleman, Human Resources;

The gathering also took advantage of the opportunity to discuss Fire Awareness and reinforce relevant training.

The awareness to Legionella was raised with a discussion about the bacteria, causing a pneumonia-type illness by the name of Legionnaires' disease and a mild flu-like illness by the name of Pontiac fever.

The topic of Safety in the Workplace, concluded the gathering, over snacks and refreshments.
