De Palm Island Adds New Water Park and Kid’s Aqua Play Area

Fun updates from De Palm Island!

De Palm Island Waterpark

De Palm Island recently completed construction of its second water park consisting of three body drop slides and converting the old water park to a kid’s Aqua Play area. The new water park is ideal for customers who are at least 48 inches and up making it ideal for teenagers and adults. The structure is equivalent in height to a seven story building with the longest ride measuring 100 meters plus which finishes off into a spiraling bowl. Special neon effects on each of the slides makes the rides even more exciting. “Most of the feedback we got from our customers was that De Palm Island was missing a water park geared towards teenagers and adults as well as having a separate area for kids and toddlers to enjoy. This is the reason for these new projects”, says Miriam v/d Plassche, the Manager of De Palm Island.

The new kid’s Aqua Play Water area includes water cannons, zip down slides, under water showers, a tipping bucket, and a large pool for kids and their parents to enjoy.

“This AF 6M investment is our continued commitment to invest in Aruba’s tourism product which residents also have an opportunity to enjoy. Last year we added private cabanas, palapas as well as flamingoes to the De Palm Island product line, all of which were very well received by our customers. Plans to further upgrade the product will continue into 2020 and beyond including making the island more environmentally sustainable,” says Warren Stanley, CEO De Palm Corp.

December 23, 2019 was the official opening day of the new water parks and feedback from customers has been very positive thus far.
