ECO DMS Offers a Site Young Leaders Program, at UA
Building the next generation of Hospitality & Tourism leaders.
Oranjestad – ECO DMS in collaboration with the University of Aruba offered a Site Young Leaders Program helping build the next generation of Hospitality & Tourism leaders by providing education and networking opportunities appealing directly to members who are new and up and coming within the industry. The mission of the Site Young Leaders is to create a strong group of individuals who will become leaders in Site, and the greater Hospitality & Tourism industry.
ECO DMS arranged for the certification of its staff as well as University of Aruba FHTMS students who signed up for the interesting, interactive course with instructor Jim Skiba.
Maoreen Every, Eco Destination Management Services of ARUBA NV, reports it was the company’s way of giving back to the community as the program was offered to UA students free of charge.
“We couldn’t have made it for the students to take the CIS without our local partners who all sponsored the certification,” she says, “including the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, the Aruba Airport Authority, the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, ABC Tours, Elite Productions, One Happy Photographer, Fofoti Tours & Transfers, Pelican Adventures, and the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino.“
“Each of the local partners sponsored anywhere from 1 to 6 students’ registration fees,” she adds,” to be able to attend the certification program, which included a Young Leaders reception, designed to promote networking with sponsors’ representatives and Young Leaders already in the industry.”
Upon graduation all students received a CIS certificate and CIS pin.
