First Quarter Associates’ General Meeting at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino

The ballroom came alive in honor of the resort’s first quarter Associates General Meeting.

Director of HR Tessely Koolman served as meeting host, presenting meaningful updates, well deserved recognitions, and genuine applause, producing heartwarming moments, and inspiring pride. 

Pride about progress of the resort’s guest experience goals, and pride of the exciting future plans. The Associate General Meeting reminded participants that the resort keeps raising the bar on achievements, and that everything can be accomplish together. 

The warm welcome set the tone: Tessely Koolman opened the meeting with an uplifting message of appreciation and unity. Assistant General Manager Lillian Britten shared operational comments and the future areas of focus, which should guide every department forward. 

An updated from Citizens insurance invited associates for a presentation introducing an Abroad Coverage update.

There were moments of gratitude that brought the room together, when Voice of Customer star was announced, Janet Reid, and Best Theme Luncheon awarded to the Accounting Team presenting ONE LOVE. Helping Hand, the resort’s charity committee honored Nilda for 20 years of service and recognized Best & Most Improved AOS scores. 

General Manager Joe Najjar shared the details of phase three renovation plans and an update on the heart of the house, highlighting how the resort is investing in public spaces and personnel to keep everything running smoothly. 

Games, a Q&A session and a raffle spiced up the afternoon, keeping the energy high, with fun questions, friendly competition, and prizes. 

A 35th Anniversary Jingle was introduced, with Gareth and Mathilde delivering a memorable, live performance.

The meeting concluded with a sweet send off, the ice cream truck parked outside the associate entrance delivered sweet treats and completed the afternoon on a high note. 

The meeting was a powerful reminder that when resort associates listen, recognize, and invest in one another, the resort and its people move forward, stronger together, with shared goals, renewed energy, and pride in what was accomplished to date.

In the next quarter the resort will continue to inspire and keep raising the bar, caring for guests, and celebrating every associate who makes La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino a winning destination.
