Year-end Team Recognition at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino

A Memorable evening at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino.

A recent elegant evening at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino served as a recognition platform for sixteen exceptional team members who maintained a flawless work record and were the winners in their respective departments for 2018.

The various achievements by the honored team members, representing all areas of the resort operation, were outlined by their department heads, who spoke from the heart, expressing great appreciation for their top performers.

For Laguna, Gilligan’s Beach Shack & the Sunset Grille, Carlos He was singled out as an elegant, knowledgeable server; for Oscar’s Market, Room Service, Banquets and the Beverage Department, Deysi Caicedo was praised for follow up and fast response maintaining high service scores from guests; for Kitchen & Stewarding, Terrick Sommerville was lauded for great learning abilities and speedy production.

For Pool & Beach, Spa and Loss Prevention, Colvin Rojer was commended for his dedication and precision; for Front Office, Guest Service and PBX, Errica Alexander was praised for the quality of her work and her positive energy; for Engineering, Edwin Tromp was recognized for the important support role he plays in the department.

For Human Resources, Finance, Reservations & Purchasing, Lourdes Tromp was applauded for her sense of responsibility and great delivery; and for Housekeeping & Laundry Siegriano Croes was honored for being an outstanding team member.

Among the winning Supervisors, for Food & Beverage, Judith Koeiman was celebrated for her long-term commitment and skills; for Front Services, Elton Trezil was complimented for his level of efficiency and courtesy; for the Administration, Jeremy Santanilla was celebrated for his important contributions, and for F&B and Kitchen, Mario Jimenez was commended for excellent leadership.

Among the Managers of the Year, for Food & Beverage, Jonathan Werleman was honored for goals met and targets achieved; for Front Services and Rooms, Nelson Winklaar was complimented for creating a solid, capable team. For Administration, Maikel Ras, was lauded for his reliability and thoroughness, and for Reservations, Sales & Marketing, Lisa Dammerman was commended for her reliable performance resulting in exceptional guests’ satisfaction from her work as bridal specialist.

The Department Heads joined members of management in congratulating the winners and thanking them for their hard work and dedication, with flowers, certificates of merit and customary envelopes.

“We have reached our guest service and financial goals for 2018 and that could have only been done with a full team, delivering flawless performances, making the extra effort, and going the extra mile,” said Hans Georg Roehrbein, the resort’s General Manager. “We’re proud about the heart they poured into their work, as the results show – a deeply committed and focused team, with great communication skills, professional expertise, and dedication to excellence,” he concluded. 

The culinary brigade was entrusted with a delicious three-course dinner presentation, including a selection of Creekstone Filet Mignon with red wine demi-glace or Miso-glazed Sea Bass as main courses, with a Sunset Grille inspired dessert plate.
