Simply put, the Aruban people are a happy bunch. No doubt they’re one of the main reasons why so many visitors return to One happy island year after year after year.
There’s something to be said for feeling welcomed, at home and one of the family the minute you touch down. It’s a stress-free vibe of happiness that’s hard to put into words but easily seen on the happy, smiling faces of all who visit.
With nearly 100 different nationalities all living happily together, Aruba is the cultural melting pot of the Caribbean. Arubans love to laugh and chitchat and speak English fluently (also Spanish, Dutch and their island’s local language, Papiamento.) Ask a local for directions and you may just wind up with a friend for life.
The beautiful thing about the One happy island vibe is that it lasts long after you’ve returned home. You feel it in the shared experiences and memories with loved ones enjoyed in paradise (and in our book, that’s priceless.)
