Who is the aloe man? Hay, you can always go to the actual plant where they make the aloe products. Pretty cool, fast and interesting. I haven't heard of the aloe man, what does he do??

The Aloe man's name is Andre he is one colorful character wearing loud wide brimmed hats with a large feather co-ordinated shirt short sets and a tie
He makes his own aloe concoction which is quite good and walks the beach on a daily basis selling his product
He is one heck of a nice man

What a great guy! Aruba would not be Aruba without him! Though I think you have to hang out at Palm Beach to insure meeting him.

Yes, the Aloe Man is wonderful, and quite friendly. I always get a kick out of seeing what kind of outfit he will be wearing!!! It can be quite comical sometimes (like when his shorts were "air-conditioned" in the back and he didn't know it!!). The aloe is made at his house evidently and he sells it for $10 a bottle. It smells pretty funky to me, but I know people who have used it and they say it is absolutely wonderful (it's like tequila to me....if you can get it past your nose, it's all downhill from there!) You can definitely hear him coming on Palm beach, usually between 1-2 every afternoon.....Aloe Man, Aloe Man here....Aloe for your sunburn....good for stomach aches, diarrhea, impotence, etc...!!! I was down there for my birthday in Feb. on my 9th trip and he remembered by "special day" by bringing me a pair of flamingo pink sunglasses studded with rhinestones!!!! (just like something he would wear!). I thought that was very thoughtful of him. Anyway, look for him and be sure to get a pic with him, as he's truly an Aruba original!!!

The Aruba Aloe man, Andre, is one of the most recognizable charachters on Palm Beach. His resounding voice with excellent spoken English can be heard far down the beach. Additonally, he is engaging and friendly.

I have purchased a bottle of the Aruba Aloe that he peddles. It works fine for sunburn and skin moisturization, but it smells horrendous. He'd probably sell more Aruba Aloe if it didn't stink as bad as it does, but you don't know that until you purchase your first bottle. Another problem is that the twist-on cap, once opened, does not tighten enough to secure it against leaks if you want to carry it home in your luggage.

Would I buy it again? Probably, but just for the novelty of it, and I'd make sure I buy it at the beginning of my vacation week so I can make sure that i use it all. At $10 per bottle, it's not cheap. almost as much buying a Pina Colada from one of the beach waiters.

Aloe man was AWOL this past Xmas season. We all commented that we didn't see him at all. DH saw him one day during the end of first week of Jan.

Aloe Man is infamous in our family. Every year we each get a gift at Christmas not labeled from "Santa" but from "Aloe Man". :D

He's been on Palm Beach almost every day for the last 3 weeks. We had some at home and a few weeks back I burned my arm...really really bad on bacon grease and popped the cap off that and poured the whole bottle on it. Not sure if it helped or not since I blistered up anyway but i figured it didn't hurt it.
Today he had a different outfit on and I asked him if it was new..he said it was a really old one.
One funny guy...likes hotdogs! ;-}

Just wondering what Aloe Man's aloe taste like? If it smells that bad I cannot imagine what it taste like and does it really do the trick for the ailments advertised? Could use some around here lately my husband keeps burning himself on the wood stove (LOL)....at least I still have some aloe cream from the aloe factory tour....my husband keeps teasing me for dragging him thru the tour so every time he uses it I tease him right back! I have seen him many times and he is another memory of Aruba :)

When we were there in Feb, he told my husband and I he starts walking the beach in the morning and sometimes sells out before he even hits the Marriott area. He is in demand for sure!

Hey he was on Eagle Beach my last few days. He went bye so fast and was speaking so fast. I did not know he was selling Aloe even though i saw the AAA on the bottle and was guessing it was some Aloe lotion. Is the product good?

After many visits, I bought a bottle from him in April. It is still sitting on my vanity; guess I should open it and see what it does to my skin.

He also told me you can use it internally. Hubby wasn't too convinced. I don't think I'll try ingesting it though.

I'm getting on the FB page tonight!!

Andrea-
We just use it for sunburns or slight sunburns. A little pink? slap some Aloe man stuff on it! The bottle we use in Aruba normally goes fairly quick since people are a bit more red in Aruba than here in Texas. Our last bottle we picked up in October was used this past weekend for the first time. It's been sitting in our fridge unopened for 8 months. The oldest daughter came home this past Saturday after being outside in a track meet for 8 hours and was quite red despite putting on tons of sunscreen. Opened it up expecting to sniff something God awful again (Cindy O) and to my surprise it didn't really smell at all. Wonder if recently changed the concoction. All I know is that it worked just as good on Saturday night as it normally does but it didn't stink like a something from hell.

Years back Roxy, the owner of Wacky Wahoo's won the lotto also. I think it was around 500,000. I don't remember if it was U.S.. $'s or florin which would be 285,000 U.S.

FYI... my 12 year old daughter had a rash on her face. We weren't sure if it was a rash or some pre-teen pimples. But they weren't responding to pimple treatment. We pulled the Aloe Man aloe out of the fridge and applied to her face 3 times a day. After about 3 days using it, it is significantly better. Love this stuff and will pick up more when we are there in July!
