Hi all. I wasn't sure where to post this, I hope this is a good spot. My husband keeps saying we should think about buying water shoes before we leave. The first few times we were there, you really didn't need them. BUt last time we were there I remember it being more rocky than usually when we were trying to get in the water. Of course I don't mind it, but we haven't been there in over a year so just wanted to get thoughts from those of you who have gone recently. Is it worth buying them? Thanks all :D

We always pack the water shoes but don't always need them. Depends how the surf has been.

Where are you staying? We always pack them for the Tamarijn (Druif beach) but never for Palm Beach.

spent a few hrs IN the water at Aruba Beach Club and the entry was difficult due to the erosion and there was lots of coral making it even more difficult for entry and exit.
if we had the watershoes with us we'd have worn them.
but mother nature is always changing things..........where are you staying?

------ YES for me. Might not need them for the beach but they are great for wearing around the resort, sitting at the beach bars, walking on the hot cement around pool, ........... Usually wear them all day before going out to dinner or casino at night.

Marriott Stellaris. I think we are going to buy them just to be safe. I just have to see where they sell them that I won't pay an arm and a leg. I'm sure Kmart and those places have them, but probably not in the dead of winter. Any ideas?

------ Last pair I bought was either at Target or Walmart. Very inexpensive.
Cheaper than sandals. Yes, might be hard to find in the winter.

Thank you! I checked TJ Maxx, they had swimsuits but no shoes :( My hubby is in Dallas for business, so I told him to check our Target/Marshalls there. I'm thinking since it's warm there, maybe they have them.

If you decide you HAVE TO have them you can order them today online with priority or next day shipping at somewhere like zappos.com, walmart.com (apparel category) or http://www.swimoutlet.com/Articles.asp?ID=110
OR
Years back my beach sandal strap broke and I picked up a new pair at the mini mart at the Resort. I am sure one of the many mini marts among Palm Beach's resorts would sell watershoes.

Only time we ever used them was on the snorkel sails on Palm Pleasure, boat was a little slippery.

The choice is yours, but in 10 years staying at the Marriott Ocean Club we've never need them.
