Anyone staying at the Radisson in Sept? We will be there from the 20-27 and we like to meet new people and have drinks. This is our first time staying in aruba as we are avid cruisers.

As sometimes cruisers, and lovers of the Radisson and Aruba, I can say that you will enjoy the Radisson. They have a beach unlike any cruiseship ;)

Not going to be there but I definitely recommend going to Buguloe on the pier near your hotel. They have live music I believe on Tuesdays and Fridays. We've been for happy hour a few times and later and have met a few fun people there. Sit at the bar and the conversations come naturally.

>>>travelin5963: We'll be there....from the 20th of September on. If you care to look us up....just ask for Darryl and Gail. I think many of the staff know us for many years! As far as we are concerned....the "Rad" is the ONLY place to stay in Aruba!!!

Awesome Darryl. Since you have been there many times....where is the nearest grocery store? Walking distance?

09-02-2013, 10:03 AM
Grocery store? In all honesty...I can't think of any that are within 'walking distance' of the Radisson. There are a few very nice super markets but they are about a mile or so away. So...if you are a 'long distance walker', they might work for you. As far as restaurants, there is a tremendous variety just outside the Radisson, certainly within walking distance. Pizza, Italian, Asian, Continental, Aruban, Sea Food, etc. etc. just across the street. The Radisson is, in my opinion, the best located Resort on the Island! It has the best beach; the best staff. You are certain to enjoy your stay!! :)

We do also,, Radisson is the Best ( IMO ) If you haven't tried Hostario tra torria ( spelling stinks ), across the street from Hyatt, give them a try,, excellent.. We missed him this year, the pool drink server Ronaldo , please let him know Kathy & Larry said Hello

We too, like Hostaria da Vittorio very much and we plan on dining there at least once during our stay at the "Rad". Ronaldo is a fine gentleman; we'll be sure to let him know you said 'hello'!
