ARUBA RAY COMEDY SHOW!!

Let’s try and make a difference with the power of the internet!
The Marriott Stellaris Hotel has decided not to have the Aruba Ray Comedy show in November/December. As many of you are aware this is a fabulous show and something different to do rather than “just diner”.
We need to stand up and let the hotel know that this is not acceptable and a very short sighted decision.


Please email: leslie.prea@marriott.com who is the assistant general manager and let him know your displeasure. Without all of our support we may see a wonderful show disappear from Aruba.

There was no show in August when we were there. I was looking forward to seeing it.

his show was in the ballroom at the Marriott right?
I am wondering if there is no availability due to other events scheduled in that ballroom?
I do know that lots of Holiday parties take place there.

maybe Ray should find another venue in Aruba.

I believe the Marriott rented the room to a “group”. I don’t believe this is an issue of holiday parties and I think that management is not recognizing what a big draw these shows are. As I stated in my letter to Mr. Prea, it is a short sighted decision as there is a ripple effect with money being spent in the restaurants, bar, and casino and the potential of new Marriott customers. Its not just a matter of how much rent they get from the room, they get money from the spin off.
If the Marriott hears from enough people then perhaps they will rethink their decision going forward. It would be sad to loose a fantastic show that happily comes to Aruba numerous times a year. Love going especially because its nice to have something else to do rather than always going out for dinner. Perhaps Aruba Ray will find another venue but its just a shame...

We saw them last December and again in Feb or March. Nothing is scheduled for later in the winter either.

It is awful that his show won't be around. We went 2 years ago and loved every second of it. I hope someone picks up the show on the island as its a great evening out.
