we met some folks at Legends for a drink. they walked over from the Radisson (now Hilton). they walked thru a bunch of parking lots and never made their way out onto Palm Beach Rd or Smith Blvd. they accessed it from the "back way" which is not ideal at all!

but Lima downtown is a great success....... I hope the brand name is enough to cause folks to visit this new place!!
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

Thanks Peg. Since we don’t drive on the island I don’t even know about Legends or where it was. Lol. But I agree with you.

The sister restaurant...Lima...while in a nice spot it receives no foot traffic! Creative menu with well prepared food and great service ....word will spread...they should be fine! Perhaps capturing the people who don't travel any further south than Super Foods (both residents and tourists). LOL

Not to far from Bavaria, Hostaria da Vittorio, Wacky Wahoo, Bingos, Aqua Grill, McDonalds, Wendy's, KFC to name a few. As the Palm Beach area continues to push inward, with condo developments and new areas to dine, it'll probably stand a better chance, then Legends did at that time. JMHO...

I think it will do well and it’s all about word of mouth and people knowing it’s the same chef as Lima!

You said it all. I worry about this location for sure! Its not on the beaten path so you have zero "walk-ins" It has no name recognition unless you know Lima's, The menu is not traditional for sure, I wish them luck but I don't see it- hope I am wrong.

I posted on the other thread, the review, but I really don’t think the location is as big of a hinderance as people think. It’s an easy drive from most places and if you aren’t staying Palm Beach there is no worry about where to park because they have a lot, and you don’t have to deal with the pedestrian and busses and busyness of the main touristy area.

And for those staying in Palm, it’s close, it’s not a chain. You can walk or take a cheap taxi or easy drive.

Think about Oak, it’s location isn’t great but people still sit outside there. Azar feels more spacious and breezy. A lot of things can make up for an off-the-main drag location. Great service, owners who want to succeed while maintaining authenticity, great food, and a good atmosphere. A location can help a place with less than stellar reviews, but stellar reviews speak for themselves

Agree 100%. We will take a cab anywhere for a restaurant with great ratings and a great chef.
