The pandemic apocalypse cut us off from a lot of dining out so we were thrilled to return to Gostoso... one of our local favourites:

I've raved about this place before... the freshness and innovative nature of the mains and the hard-core commitment to the Portuguese/Aruba fusion that chef/owner, Jose, brings to the island. We're really happy that they were able to survive the pandemic and come out even better. We dined outside of the first time and it was a beautiful night - about 27C with a good breeze.
The Spouse started off with beef soup and then had beef stroganoff for the first time and started raving after two bites. I started with a cold octopus app (Pulpo) that was insanely good and then opted for the seafood medley in curry sauce. Sublime. Jose is still making hot sauce in-house and one of the servers remember that I like it extra hot so brought out the "special edition. Awesome.I topped it off with chocolate and vanilla ice cream because: #Health.
The service was impeccable as usual with front of house, Rocky, still running a tight ship. Jose came out to say hi and informed us that they're going to be changing locations... closer to our house! YAY! As much as we love the kitschy current location, we'll be interested to see what he does with the new digs.
