    Oliebollen

Oliebollen (translates to Balls of oil)

Typically Lings and Superfood and probably the bakeries also sell these treats.
    They are "doughnut like"

If we pick up some, ok in reality "when" we pick up the
Oliebollen I will post a couple of photos

Maybe someone more familiar with this delectable treat can post more info and locations and prices.
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

Considered a Dutch doughnut they kind of look like a beignet or Fried dough covered with powdered sugar. Will the Renaissance be having their Christmas Market this year? I’m sure they will have them.

I told Stu on Sunday that I was looking forward to getting them when we arrive. Round balls of dough like a beignet fried in oil covered in powdered sugar-with or without raisins. I think they also sell something with apples in it, but it is not round. SuperFood and Ling's both had them in 2020 and I think DoIt may have had them, too. SuperFoods surely had the larger production line. I think I like the plain, apple, and then raisin in that order.

Ok so Oliebollen is a MUST have for me. Sounds like a great Christmas treat that I will be on the look out for.

the outside cooking station was set up at Ling's...I had to hurry by but I think the price might have been 10+ florins for 10...I will try to check next time I am there. (If I stop to read I will buy and I can't start buying them this early or I will be a blimp by Christmas...lol) I was at Super Food yesterday. I didn't notice any for sale.
