    Outdoor dining!

The restaurants in Aruba have really done an exceptional job in providing outdoor dining options for those that prefer the "great outdoors" for whatever reason!!

Agree.... we always prefer outdoors..... it's less 'peopley' and the weather is perfect for it!

We almost always eat outdoors for dinner, but it's after the sun sets. After being in the pool or on the beach all day we don't want to sit in the sun and eat. We gave up sunset dinners years ago.

We always eat outdoors as well. The only restaurant we’ve gone to in recent years that is indoors is Chalet Suisse which we haven’t been to since 2019. Last September we wanted to keep all dining outdoors due to the pandemic and will continue to do so this September.

We try to do as much outdoor dining as possible because it is so beautiful and there is not a lot of places around us that have outdoor dining. However; we will do indoor dining if we want to go a specific place such as Chalet Swiss, Que Pasa?, Kamini's, and a few others.

We will make a real effort to skip indoor dining this time..................Alfies and Bavaria.....see them in the fall
Chalet Suisse needs to remove the roof....make the walls half and bring that place into the year 2022.
We have not been in there in over a decade.

I was hoping that during the pandemic that they would improve the decor, but nope.

Aruba has so many great outdoor options. I especially like West Deck, Casa Nonna and numerous spots at Renaissance Marketplace, especially when they have live music.

while they were closed for that extended period...........they were closed 6+ months.
they had plenty of time to rehab the inside.
they had plenty of time to add an outdoor dining patio.

Screaming Eagle did a superb job.......they made a wonderful outdoor dining area.

As a long time reader (11th trip) and first time poster, who currently only eats outdoors, either on the condo patio or restaurants, here are a list of our go -to's (South to North)
    Barefoot
    Fresco/Renasance
    Bucuti/Elements
    Ike's/Chophouse/ Machebo
    Waters Edge
Arawak Plaza (Fishes and More / Casa Tua)

Our Shellfish Allergy and no pork eliminates some other fine places for us.
