    Quinta De Carmen

When I was in Aruba in December, I saw that Quinta De Carmen started experimenting with a tapas menu. I just saw on Face Book that they added a new Tapas Menu starting this evening.

The courtyard atmosphere is perfect for this type of menu. We’ve only dined there once. I loved the atmosphere but wasn’t wowed by the food with the exception of dessert which was outstanding. I would go back to try a tapas menu though.

And they have an Expresso Martini on the Tapas Menu. Was it you that was into the expresso martini? I love that drink as well. I had it at Azia as a dessert..Delicious drink..

I think you know me too well!! Gotta love an espresso martini. Always get one or maybe two when we play at the Ritz casino.

Just did the tapas menu at Quinta del Carmen on Wednesday. We are not a fan of their food normally -( it's okay but lacking in flavor / herbs/ seasonings) but wanted to try their tapas. They were good but not great - again, flavor/technique was lacking. But the atmosphere is of course very nice so that helps. We would probably go again for a light bite but not on our "must" list.

Sorry to hear that Amy. I had a great dinner there once the salmon, grouper and shrimp. Then I went another time and had a rib eye steak and was disappointed. Like you mentioned, it was too bland for my taste. How were the wines at the tapas menu?
