    Screaming Eagle

During my recent stay in Aruba, we went by Screaming Eagle every day, sometimes more than 2 times.

The restaurant has been closed since Mid March.

Workers are busy busy busy doing lots of renovation work inside and out.
On Thursday morning we did see one of the owners sitting at a table with a couple of other gentlemen amid all of the construction.

Not sure when it is going to reopen, but it looks like lots of man/woman power and $ have gone in to the renovation from where we could see from the road.

It looked like a mess today. The whole front is torn up.

They are renovating/expanding their outdoor seating.

It reopened last night. No red lights above the entryway.

I always thought that it was odd to have the red lights, but it always told me when they were open since when I sit on my sofa, that is what I see.

I thought the red likes were a novelty the first time I saw them.

I cannot think of more uncomfortable dining.....bed option
There are those that like the bed dining option....maybe they like the red lights as well?

With their recent changes, I wonder if the menu has changed?

We were able to try Screaming Eagle on our first night here (Saturday night). We were a little nervous because we had not enjoyed it in the past. We liked the looks of the new menu, so gave it a shot! It was really good! The only seating is outside and it was very socially distanced. Service was good, a bit slow, nothing to complain about. My son and I had the tenderloin, they prepare the peppercorn sauce table side. Not the best use of the servers time but it was fun to watch and tasted delish. Our steaks were cooked perfect (med rare) and the veggies and mashed potatoes were very nice. My husband has to eat gluten free and they were very accommodating. He went with the lamb shank and really enjoyed it. For dessert the teenager had apple cobbler, he said it was just ok. Us grownups shared a couple scoops of ice cream.
The new decor is a big improvement. We hardly missed the beds .
