Oh No! I was planning to go at the end of May. I hope Salah and his family are well. I own one of his sister's paintings that I purchased when they first opened in Aruba.

Wow, that's really cool about the painting. I haven't been there since family stopped coming with us, but we always enjoyed our experience and meals there.

Was an annual visit for us once Amazonia closed. DW loved that salad bar.... hope it's only temporary. I hope my absence from Aruba is only temporary too!

This is such sad news!!! We just had dinner there during our vacation in Aruba at the end of December and the restaurant had just re-opened after being closed for several months so we assumed now that it was high season that they'd have enough business to keep them afloat. Texas de Brazil served the best Sangria on the island. I hope that this isn't a permanent closure.

Sadly I think only the time-shares appear to be running anywhere close to 50percent and even that may a stretch. The Ritz is less than 20% right now. I can't wait to return and support my favorite spots and of course my favorite people!

The struggle is so very real.
I spoke with a friend who is part of LaCabana administration and it is very quiet there, but the census is 50%.
The timeshares are treading water, the hotels are having more of a problem with occupancy.

The restaurants in like are struggling.
