Has any recently married New Jersey bride's who married in an Aruba civil ceremony had a problem changing their drivers license name to their marriage name because the NJ DMV would not accept their marriage cerificate translated from Dutch to English? A couple I know had just that problem and were given a list of NJ translators to have their civil marriage certificate translated. When a couple decides to have their civil ceremony in Aruba their marriage certificate is written in Dutch. The signed Dutch copy is sent out to government approved translator. When the couple receives their original signed Dutch Marriage Certificate and their English translated marriage certificate, that certificate has a few official seals that the document was certified. I am very curious to find out if any NJ couples had a problem with their DMV when the bride went to change the name on her drivers license to her new marriage name. For that matter, did any bride recently married in a civil ceremony in Aruba have a problem changing her name on her social security card, passport or even drivers license because their translated marriage certificate was not accepted? Your experiences would certainly be helpful to future couples getting married in an Aruba civil ceremony. Thanks in advance
