Newbie to this board but not to Aruba

Hi I have not been to Aruba for about 6 years !
I know a lot has changed including the smoking policy at most resorts.
Sorry, I am a smoker but a considerate one. I do not smoke in my rooms but would like to smoke on my balcony. I have heard it is allowed at the playa Linda but I have heard different versions about the Marriott resorts. One page says a special ashtray is available for use on the balcony. Has anyone heard of this?

    Non-Smoking Policy
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino is a smoke-free resort, with the follow exceptions: smoking is permitted in open-air restaurants, balconies and the casino.

Yes smoking is allowed on your balcony at the Playa Linda. There will be an ashtray on the little table out there.
