Newbie from Minnesota

Greetings all, new to this forum, but not new to Aruba. I've been around reading/lurking on the outside lately and finally joined. It's great to see the insightful and timely communication/information being shared by members/moderators pertaining to the new pandemic world we are now living in, the updates around the Island, shared experiences and general conversations. My wife and I have been traveling each year to Aruba now, over the last four years, and always look forward to a return the following year. Can't get enough. Our trip #5 is coming next week, with trip #6 coming in February. Keep up the great contributions to this forum.

yes indeed you are in the land of the deep freeze.

I spent time in the Minneapolis/St Paul area many years ago for a number of months Winter into early Spring.
It was horrible and cold and gray.
Very much like New England, but at least in New England I had weekends off and got to ski.
In Minnesota, I only had 1 day off a week and did not get in many outdoor activities.

Welcome to the Forum.

We're in Winnipeg, just a bit north of you. It's cold, but it's a dry cold; at least that's what we keep telling ourselves.

Lots of good information here and the people are pretty friendly.

Just by way of background, I'm a retired CPA and first started going to Aruba in 1980. I went there via Northwest Airlines and Eastern Airlines (remember them?) and the hospital was the biggest building on the island.
