Checked out today and was chatting with the cute young office girl and she made me laugh when we were discussing the bikers the other night. She said since Covid there are more bikers just so they could do more things outdoor. She said she is part of the group, and she also told us Aruba has strict rules regarding the time of the revving the engine is from 5-7pm, but during Holiday they let the rules slide. She said they are all connected through an app that the police also monitor and know where they are at and keep an eye on the group. She explained how she enjoys the group and it made me laugh cause my husband would proabably had been part of it when he was her age
We took a cab to LaCabana and the driver indicated that Aruba is lifting all Covid restrictions including mask mandate as of February 1st. I had not heard that anywhere else, but he seemed well informed about US politics and the islands. The check-in process was smooth with no one in line. Last year I left a necklace in my room after I headed to the airport and when I contacted the resort they indicated they were not doing any mailings due to Covid but stated they would hold it for my return. I was not expecting them to have it, but thought I might as well ask. To my surprise within less than 5 minutes they were handing me my necklace. Wow now that is great customer service! Our room was ready so we were able to unpack and head out to lunch. We headed to The Local for a burger. They were great but also very filling.
