    August 10-21 Hyatt/playa Linda

Well it began on Wednesday, flight on JetBlue out of Newark. Husband, myself and son on our way . My son who is 18 now considered not coming this trip with us. Then we wondered what would just the 2 of us do. Then he changed his mind and said add a couple days at the Hyatt .. flight was great and landed a little early. We were at the Hyatt by 2. They had a little rain but not much. We ate at the Hyatt bar and stayed on the beach for a little bit. Very busy here and looks like a full house. All palapas have to be done reserved online ... I’m not a big fan of that to be honest.
First night traditional dinner was Smokey Joe’s. Very good like usual but took a long time to get and the waiter forgot about us a couple times
Thursday woke up went to the gym beach by 7am. Lunch was again Hyatt bar and dinner Daniels steakhouse
Julian our waiter at Daniels is the best. A little bit on the higher priced side for dinner but it was my sons choice
depending on how long we stay we all get so many dinner choices
This trip my husband and son get 4 choices and I get 3.
Friday got up did the treadmill, on the beach by 7. Lunch was garden fresh for them and Eduardos for me.
dinner tonight was Brutto first time going and excellent . My son had the sushami, and the fish and chips
We split the onion soup dumplings. I had the mushroom risotto, my husband had lobster Mac n cheese. Dessert was the Oreo fondant
price with tip was 200. No drinks just an ice tea .
they did ask if anyone had allergies which I thought was great considering I have them now. Started last year and now can’t have any shrimp, tree nuts, chicken and tomatoes. It’s definitely hard bc I love all those things.

    Dinner tonight sounded YUMMY.
I am glad that they asked about allergies.
I wonder what is the cause of the later onset of allergies?

So glad that your son did decide to join you!
Once they reach adulthood, it is hard to get them to do lots of stuff.
    Make every moment count.

thanks for sharing your first couple of days with us

Sounds like a great start! I commend you for getting up early to go do exercising. I get up early to go do caffeine. Sometimes it's almost a tenth of a mile! So exhausting...
I haven't heard of Bruttos. what kind of food do the serve?

Sounds like you've settled in nicely. Good on you for going to the gym. I always think about it. I can see the gym across the street and then quickly talk myself out of it. Thanks for the restaurant reviews. I'm always looking for a place or two to try for the first time

Enjoy the rest of your trip and keep us posted if you find the time.

Thanks for sharing the beginning of your trip. Good for you for going to the gym. I’ve done that some years. Last year I packed gym stuff and never used it. Sigh! It’s a great way to start your day when you are eating and drinking more than you do at home.
