    Back again since October

Well we made it back to one Happy Islad. Big change from 5months ago, for the better.

We arrived on St Patrick’s Day. More or less breezed thru immigration. Scanning the luggage takes a bit of time, but afterwards right into a taxi and off to LaCabana.
Our room was ready and we don’t have to change rooms the two weeks we are here. Unpacking and off to pats pats bar for some happy time.
We are very low key so pool and r and r. We ate at the Islander Grill for two days since Super foods et al were closed for Flag Day. Made it to Pizza Babs by ABC and were unimpressed. When they were in the Tropicana we loved it.
Son and dil coming in this afternoon.
Good thing they are staying in our apartment because of the new regs. Starting tonite only two at a table, palapa etc. unless young child or adults in same room.
some rain this am and a chance during the day. Haven’t decided on dinner yet.

    thank you for sharing!!

enjoy your stay. the pata pata bar is fun!!!

please tell me of the housekeeping at LaCabana.
when we were there in late Nov/Dec, the housekeepering was supposed to be not happening.
we were instructed to leave our trash outside the door and if we needed towels etc, then to call housekeeping.
the protocols did not allow them to enter our room.
but, she came in practically every day and did the usual.
so I am interested in hearing your experiences with housekeeping and all of your stay.

Housekeeping is here every day doing minimal stuff, garbage and towels. Not as frequent bed changes. If you want more every day I believe you have to pay.
    Pool deck is full.

Son and dil came in Saturday. Fortunately their plane came in first and they were thru immigration quickly.
The line for check in was crazy at LaCabana when we got there so the guys at front said to come back later to get their bands and pool cards.
Headed to LaTerraza for dinner. Always good.
Won the cover all at bingo Friday. Yahoo. When we’re here in October the cover all was $80, today , Monday it was $295. The resort seems regular full by the pool deck. Don’t have to get there at 6 unless you want a front row table but it filled up.
Yesterday, Sunday was my husband’s birthday. LaCabana gave him a birthday cupcake and card. Nice surprise. Dinner was at Mathews.
Today we decided to go to Baby Beach. Water was cold. We didn’t have fins with our snorkel and mask and the current was to strong to watch the fish. We left and drove to Casiberi rocks to show the kids. They had never been there before. Lunch was Bright bakery. Dil was in heaven. Ate lunch there and brought back a bunch of goodies. Salt and Pepper tonight for tapas.
