James how long will you be in Aruba?

    your grouper fingers looked terrific.

we have to meet up with Gaby in early December.
we want to pick up a necklace for our daughter in law for Christmas.

what did you folks buy from Gaby?

thank you for sharing your adventures with us.

    We are here until Saturday.
We purchased 2 necklaces from Gaby and 2 bracelets from her artist friend who’s name escapes me.

Anyone interested in booking her sea glass excursion should do so soon. She said she is already booked way in advance.

Tonight’s plans are sunset here at the Ritz in about an hour, then dinner on the patio at Screaming Eagle.
Wednesday is dinner at Bavaria, Thursday at Opus after we pick of some items from Shiva’s, and finally off to Madame Janette on Friday. More later…

the necklaces and bracelets are pretty!

so glad that Screaming Eagle took good advantage of the time when things were very slow to add that outdoor dining space.
Chalet Suisse should have done the same (JMO)

    continue to have a blast

This morning started with about a 4 mile walk along the boardwalk past Divi Phoenix and then back along the road. We had coffee and a breakfast bar on the balcony, then hit the fitness center a short time later. By then it was around 9:30 and we set up camp at the pool for the afternoon, but decided to pass on a cabana. We split a steak quesadilla and the Caribbean salad for lunch. Headed back up to the room around 4:00 to rest up and get ready for cocktails at sunset. Everything looked promising from our balcony, but by the time we got downstairs the haze had set in. Decided to take a pre-sunset pic…

Arrived at Screaming Eagle which wasn’t very crowded. All dining is still outside on the patio, but they are remodeling inside and are expecting to open the inside soon, and yes the beds will be back…
We both had the lobster bisque, a glass of wine, and the mahi-mahi, but substituted the roasted sweet potatoes for mashed. Dinner was very good and we will continue to return on future trips.

Very glad to hear Screaming Eagle was good. We had reservations there in September but our friends had dinner there the week before and emailed me that it was “just ok”. So with all the dining choices in Aruba we canceled and reserved another spot. I really believe sometimes it’s what you order. Keep on having fun! Enjoying your reports!

This morning was similar to yesterday. Walked the other direction towards Ocean Z along the Malmok Boardwalk, then a quick visit to the fitness center. After a few hours in the sun we walked down to Nos Clubhuis for lunch where we had the grouper sandwich and fries along with a cocktail. I had a margarita, but I forgot what she had; something fruity I’m sure.

We stopped by The Juggling Fish for souvenirs, but ended up popping back out on the street past Playa Linda and picked up some gifts for the kids and grandkids along the way.

We spent a few more hours at the pool and ordered a couple of Bearylicious’s!

We’re back in the room now and are heading out to Bavaria tonight for dinner.
    Thanks for following along!

I don’t remember exactly, but I think it said vodka, soda water, rum, lime juice, and strawberry purée with blueberries and a dehydrated orange slice. It was actually very good and not too sweet. Everything down here at the Ritz is QR codes and no physical menus and I couldn’t find it online.
