Hope you had a safe flight down. Sorry we missed you again. They seemed pretty busy at The Beach Bar the few times we went there. Have fun and think of us when you're at the bar.

It's good to be Rich! Third trip to Aruba in 2021. Good for you! I also received my Vault test results within 30-35 hours. Great service..

    Greetings from Aruba!

Bringing to a close my first full day on the island.

The trip here was uneventful and arrival was on time. Proceeding through the airport moved right along, with no lines; the only wait was for the luggage. The car rental and check-in at Playa Linda were routine. My room was ready, so I was settled in to my 4th floor unit before I knew it. I wasn't timing it, but from my plane touching down to me being in my room was probably the fastest of my 37 visits here!

My sense in the first 24+ hours here is that it seems to be quite a bit busier on the island than in either of my previous visits since December. I am guessing that the lead-up to Easter is driving the increase, because I hear that the occupancy levels had remained about the same since I was last here.

Sunday night, I made a short visit to Hyatt Casino and turned a quick profit. I was tired from the travel day, so I was out of there before the 9:00 closing!

Same holds true for tonight. I left before closing after turning in another nice win. A good run at a blackjack table did it tonight. Two winning nights has me up better than a grand to start the trip! Here's hoping I am playing with casino money the rest of the way!

My casino visits over these past few trips have been shorter in duration than usual for me I think my comfort level/tolerance for mask wearing starts to get to me after about 90 minutes. If I keep winning, though, I might have to find a way to tolerate it more!

Dinner tonight was at Smokey Joe's. It followed a day split between errands, pool time, and reconnecting with friends.

Another such day (and a dozen after that) coming up for tomorrow ......

Maybe the silver lining of the curfew is; you get out of the casino while you’re still ahead!

Rich, sounds good. Congrats on the casino wins! When does Umping games start?

Guess I missed you today when I was at Eduardos Beach Shack by the Playa Linda for lunch. Will have to arrange to meet up there one day. Message me.

I am thinking the Royal Flushes must be hiding in the machines that are turned off for social distancing!

I am meeting up with one of my umpire friends who get me games on Friday. They play most of their games on weekends (sunset is too early for weeknight games on fields without lights). This weekend, though, is Easter weekend and there are no games. It will likely during the week next week.

I am at The Beach Bar in the late afternoon most days (~4:00). It would be fun to meet up with another forum member.
