Glad the rain cleared up for you. It certainly seems like Aruba has been having more wet weather than normal lately. Still it has to be nice to be in Aruba where it’s warm. We’re expecting temps in the minus degrees tomorrow and Saturday so no plans to leave the house.

SuperFoods gets their containers on Thursdays, so you might be able to get milk on Friday.

Thanks for the information. We might check again later on. There was no milk of any size, no 2%, 1 %, fat free, or whole milk.

Yesterday has been the nicest weather day, so far. There was no rain, just lots of sun and great breezes. Today, we are moving to a new room, and I discovered that there was a mix up in our room assignment. I am renting from an owner, who owns several rooms in the same week. The room that she told me that we had is in a great location, right next to the beach, but the room that she turned in to reservations is on the back side, far up the hallway, with just a view of some buildings at Casa Del Mar. I spent some time in the reservations office, trying to straighten this out, but it is what it is. We were a little disappointed, but hey, we are in Paradise, so it's all good.

Last night, we walked to Terrazza for dinner. We ate there once years ago, but the service was painfully slow, so we never went back. I had read better reviews so we thought that we would give it a try. When we got there, it was packed. I'd like to say that we had a better experience this time, but we didn't. From the time that we sat down until when our food arrived was about 1 1/2 hours. We were in a pretty bad mood by the time that we got it, so we ate quickly and left. We will definitely never return.

This morning, we need to finish packing up everything for moving day. Aruba Beach Club actually moves all of your stuff for you, so that will be nice. It's been raining pretty hard again this morning, but the sun is coming out, so it should be a nice day.

Man I hate when you give a place a second chance only to be disappointed a second time. Nice that ABC moves you, hope the sun stays out.

I want to grow my own food, but I
    can't find any bacon seeds...

Sorry to hear about the room mix up. I can see where it would be disappointing. Hope you will point out the error to the owner.

Yes I agree you should advise the owner that the room you got was not what you signed up for. That would turn me off as well. You may have made other plans had you known. But you are making the best of it which is great.

    re: milk
we always seem to miss the "Miami milk" and if it is there the expiration is too close for comfort.
Paul is the milk drinker, not me....gag

what we end up buying is the Dutch ultra pasteurized milk in the cartons on the shelf. (equivalent to Parmalat in the USA)
we get the 2% and it has the consistency and taste as half and half.
the whole milk almost has the consistency of whipping cream.
Paul says it is a richer taste too than regular milk.
(the ultra pasteurization process and the feed that the cows are fed in Holland is a better grade of feed than here in USA......just like Irish butter is so much better than USA butter...higher fat content)
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm

We've gotten the Dutch milk several times in the past. They just got some of that in at the market here at ABC. We're going to pick some of that up today. Thanks

It's just a minor inconvenience. We're fine with it. I just had to wrap my head around it for a minute. It is so hard to find a room available here this time of year. I'm happy to have found something.
