Oh NO- sorry but I am giggling- funny as heck!

QUOTE=Andrea J.;397727]Omg she is sitting with us now.
She keeps talking politics and she is of the other camp.
Paul keeps smiling and I am on the verge of exploding.
Couple of times Paul reached under the table and gave my leg a squeeze and the squeeze meant “ keep your trap shut and don’t lose it”. 2 for one currently poolside and I downed both in 15 min.

Nodding and cursing under my breath.

Other than politics and her presence all is well.[/QUOTE]
Trip 38 booked for Feb! Cant wait.

    Wed December 7, 2022

I believe we had a good amount of ran during the night. I heard it off and on during the wee hours. But at 7 am the sun was shining and there was a bit of a breeze.

A weird day! Very unlike Aruba for me.
We headed to the pool early and threw some laundry in the machines and got a table and chairs in a good location.
Hung with our new “BFF” oy vay and then ran to Noord Bakery while stuff was in the dryer.
Paul swears by their apple turnovers and I like their sticky buns. Paul picked up a few pieces of pound cake for his new BFF now known as the Lacabana wife. (envision stinkeye)

We squeezed in a trip to SuperFood and I ran in and got some chicken skewers and 2 potatoes. I picked up a few things for a Christmas swap that our happy hour group is doing next Friday. (Douwe Egbert coffee, stroopwaffels ..that are now in freezer, and some dutch chocolate bars). Will package these things into 2 gifts. I saw 2 forum members there and said hello.

We spent an hour in the pool and I just could not get out of my own way. I was exhausted.
Not sleeping well here because Paul is freezing in the room and has boosted the airco up to 74 and I cannot sleep at 74…I need it minimum of 71. He freezes and I am a furnace.
At about 1 pm, I decided “to Hell with this. I am going to bed.” Paul remained with his ….shall I call her his “laCabana wife?”
I crawled under the covers at 1:30 and at 6 Paul tapped me on the shoulder and said….get up! It was the best sleep that I have had in a week.

Dinner…..well it started with coffee and a shower……and he cooked the chicken skewers and I made a salad and baked potato. I think in a former life I lived on baked potatoes.

To the Alhambra at 8, outta there with a win of $100 each and off for an ice cream.

Here I sit making cards and a few of the people at the pool want me to bring the pencils, alcohol blenders, markers and stamped designs to the pool so that can make a few things too. If it is not windy it will be fun. If windy it will be difficult.

Tomorrow we hope to be at Reflexions and then @ 2 pm heading out on a private boat ride from a friend who just got his catamaran back from repair. I am glad that I bought my seasick wristbands.

Paul has conquered over half of his 9 lb worth of magazines.
The ones that are read get passed on to another.

We have put on over 250 km on the car in just a week.
Apparently we are driving lots but going nowhere really.

We have only 3 more places for dinner ….Pikas, Bavaria and MJ.
Trying to fit Alfies and Fish House in.

Here it is 9:45 pm and I am ready to crawl under the covers again and hope that the airco does not get boosted warmer.

Really enjoying your vacation with you. I hope LaCabana wife is leaving soon so you can enjoy some days at the pool without her.

I’m laughing, but not really about the battle of the room temp. In Aruba we were the same way. My husband sleeps in sweats and always wears a hoodie in our room, while I have on the lightest thing possible without being naked! I’m throwing covers off during the night while he’s bundled up. I’ve decided I’m a blast furnace and he’s an ice box and it’s not going to change but I’ve trained him to layer up and not to touch the thermostat! Loving your trip reports!

Turn the thermostat down and get him an extra blanket or wait until he is asleep and change it. On our cruise, instead of a king sized blanket, we each had our own about a twin sized blanket/quilt duvet. One couple said that one spouse used it as it was but the other was hot and took the blanket/quilt out of the duvet and only use the duvet.
