We landed at 3:15, a half hour early there were seven planes ahead of us. The immigration area was as busy as I have ever seen it. They were probably 200 people lined up at the escalator upstairs, and they were leading down groups of 10 at a time, we entered aimmigration Hall at 3:30 and exited at 4:45. It was busy to say the least
The sun is out the wind is blowing and all is well here the Island is as green as I have ever seen it.
That’s all for now.

So will it be Hung Paradise for dinner?
Day 1 Dec 1 Thursday
Our flight on SWA from Orlando was packed 95%.
Paul and I had a seat between us as did the row across from us.
Those were the only 2 empty seats on the plane.
The flight was smooth and I did not have a seat kicker behind me which was glorious.
The airport was as crowded as I have ever seen it………the arrival area at immigration was packed and there were over 200 upstairs in line for the escalator. There were 7 planes at gates.
It took us well over an hour to deplane and go thru immigration. Our luggage was waiting for us and we got our bags and off to the Setar booth where I got my sim card activated. $28 for a lot of data. Any calls we make will be thru Skype.
Rental car experience at Tropic was smooth and efficient!
Both Hans and Denis were off today as it was a perfect day for them to watch soccer.
Check in at LaCabana was easy but not so quick. Only GiGi was working the front desk and there were probably 2o of us in line and the process was long.
We got settled in our room and sat and had a cup of coffee…….. yup, not a drink, but coffee.
Drove over to Superfood in pouring rain, but it lasted only 10 minutes.
Ran thru Superfood and if any of you are familiar with Filenes Basement Wedding Dress sale…..that is what SuperFood was like at 7pm tonight. It was a poop show.
Back to LaCabana, we had sandwiches and a takeout salad.
Currently 8:33 and Paul is snoring loudly and I am getting ready to brush my teeth and get under the covers too.
The sewerage treatment facility stinks the worst that I have ever smelled…………we could smell it in the area near the LaCabana Parking lot and the front of Amsterdam Manor.
I had heard that they had remedied the situation…..apparently not yet.
Tomorrow……..a pool day and maybe the Flora store.

Travel day is exhausting, especially when the airport is crowded. We also smelled that awful smell twice when we drove past Amsterdam Manor. Wait till Embassy Suites and that other hotel ( St. Regis ? ) open up. They really need to do something. Looking forward to your trip reports!
So glad you made it and that all is well. Travel day is always tiring. You will be in the aruba groove tomorrow. Enjoy yourselves!
