Another beautiful day…wind, some clouds but wonderful nonetheless.
We stayed close to “home” today.
We spent the morning in the pool, with a run to Super Food for some tenderloin skewers.
This afternoon, back in the pool and then naps………a Loooooong nap from 3 to 6.
To the point where I needed to make coffee as if I had slept all night.
We facetimed our crew up north and watched Jake’s birthday candles being blown out and he opening gifts. The kid could start his own Lego store.
We got him a ukulele . Really! His school nixed recorders for the 2nd graders this year and opted for ukuleles unstead. He loved it and asked for one for his birthday. So, hello AMAZON! He loved it and was tuning it as we watched. So he is now not only a piano player , he can play a few tunes on the Uke.
We told him he was just like Don Ho. A look came over his face and he whispered in his Mom’s ear “Grandy said HO” Hahahahahaha. We had to explain that Ho was the guy’s name..not his occupation.
We did a load of laundry, stripped the bed and did some towels too.
I miss housekeeping services.
Question………… included in this Airbnb fees………..rent, $122 cleaning fee and service fee of $288………………………….do we also tip at the end of our stay the person that comes in to clean? We will strip the beds and throw the stuff in the wash the morning that we leave…we will sweep and do the countertops and empty trash and clean bathroom. We will leave the place as we found it………………..Do we tip? Paul says yes, I say no. Really I say NO!
We went to Alhambra tonight. It was profitable by $324. We left at 9, got an ice cream and came back . Although we had naps, I think it is going to be an early night.
Also we cooked beef tenderloin, roasted potatoes on the grill and steamed asparagus.
Asparagus were $9 for about 8 oz. Dinner was great. Paul is terrific with his grilling skills.

Wish I had a DVR here to catch up on the Jan 6 hearings.
