    Saturday Day 25:

    A lazy day poolside…

We had some early morning showers with overcast skies until early afternoon, so after the gym we took our time and moseyed out poolside. The sun started
to come back around 1:00, so we just stayed there for a few hours, taking an occasional dip. The wife said she wanted to go downtown and have dinner at Aquarius again, which of course meant a stop at the casino. Not sure if her motivation was for the lobster or the slots, but we changed and headed in that direction anyway.

There were two ships in town, but the traffic was almost nonexistent, and we easily parked across from the Mall. I noticed that one of the ships was the Royal Clipper, so I checked the Cruise Port schedule to see when it was headed out, as we wanted to see it depart.

We had some time to kill, so we went to the Wind Creek Crystal Casino for a bit. We had a couple of beverages and the wife walked away even, so all was good.

Took a walk across the street to the shore behind the Renaissance Mall to watch the Royal Clipper set sail. As we got closer, we could hear Disney themed winter music playing and as we turned the corner we came upon an “ice skating” rink, where several children were having a blast skating to the music. We watched for a bit and then moved closer to the shore to watch the ship depart. I took a few pictures as it pulled away, hoping to see the sails raised before it got to far away. Unfortunately, the sunset was not cooperating at that point, as it was setting behind a large group of clouds, shadowing the event.

So, we headed back across the street for dinner and again indulged in mounds of lobster tails. We were stuffed like the last time and made our way back to the car and heading to the condo. For the first time, we took the new highway back in the dark. It is well illuminated with streetlights from start to finish.

We got in and the wife Face Timed for a bit with our daughter and a few of the grandchildren before we called it a night.

Your Royal Clipper photos are amazing. The clouds really add to the composition.

If you zoom in really tight, it kind of looks like one of the huge cruise ships. This is going to drive me nuts!!
