I do not think it was a cruise ship, nor think is was a cargo ship.
    It is an odd shape.

The Dutch Marine cruiser "might" be it.

When I first looked I thought it was a land mass, but never remembered seeing Venezuela from that area ever. I have seen VZ from Baby and Rogers Beaches.

There is a photo of a Dutch Marine ship @ the link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HNLMS_...Doorman_(A833)
And....there were only 2 ships in town on Saturday. The Clipper left at 6 pm and the Holland America ship left at 11p.
    Maybe the Dutch Marines?

    Sunday Day 26:

This afternoon we sat poolside until an email arrived from Lady Black, then we headed to the Hadicurari Pier to catch an afternoon sail.

In a past trip report, winter of 2018, we had booked a sunset sail on Lady Black, which we had some difficulties with, as the excursion was canceled due to mechanical issues, and we weren’t notified in advance. This meant that we stood at the pier waiting for a group to materialize by ourselves and no one showed. After we notified them, they promptly refunded our payment and offered us a gift certificate for a future sailing. We tried to use it last fall, but the ship and crew were out on a two-week mandatory training exercise. Then I thought we would try again this winter, when our son was here, but they had done away with the sunset only excursion. By this time, I had given up on them and threw in the towel. Earlier last week I started looking for a sunset sail, and my thoughts for Lady Black rekindled, when I started looking at their reviews. I sent them an email and asked if we could use our certificates toward the new afternoon/sunset sail. After a couple of exchanges, they agreed, and gave us both free passages. They served fresh fruit, cheese, open bar and wrap sandwiches. We made two snorkel stops, a rope swing stop, and of course sunset, where they served mimosas, like we really needed more alcohol. The crew were all fantastic. They took individuals that couldn’t swim into the water individually that wanted to try snorkeling with great patience. They also moved around the ship and brought everyone drinks that wanted to be served. We had gotten to the pier at 3:00 and it was after 7:00 when we returned, so we made our way back to the condo and crashed.

A side note: When we went to park at Moomba, there was security at the gate asking when we were headed. When we mentioned Lady Black, we were told that the parking was only for Jolly Pirates. He was very nice and said, “I never saw you, go on in”. We passed by him after we parked and I asked if we could car there if we were going to Moomba and he said yes, it’s for them too. I don’t know if those are the only two exclusive, but keep that in mind if you’re trying to park there.

Don’t I wish, but the wife is itching to get back for the Holidays and grandchildren. We’ll be back sometime in February for a longer stretch. I’m actually looking at airfare while we speak. The pricing hasn’t changed much at all since it was first posted for our timeframe months ago. I think I’m going to pull the plug.
