    Live Trip Report 3/27 - 4/5

So, after pretending I was going to be a responsible adult and skip Aruba with my friends (like 20 of us go) this year to be more fiscally responsible, I ended up booking last week to come from 3/27 through 4-5. I took the 6 AM flight out of Boston and my friends met me at the airport and then we spent the day alternating between sitting in the pool or in the ocean. Went to the new beach bar at the Divi for sunset and it was a beautiful one. Everyone else went out, but since I had been up since like 2:30 AM, I staying in, ate a sandwich and went to bed early.

Today will likely be more of the same after I make a trip to the store to get supplies. I'm kind of a boring traveler and prefer to not do things than do things.

    Day 2 - Thursday

Day 2 was another basic Aruba day for me and the gang. Spent most of the day by the pool, with quick tips over to the ocean. Didn't make it to the beach bar for Happy Hour, but did get into the ocean to watch the sunset. Very cloudy and not the best view, but there is always another day.

Dinner was a group of 12 of us at Daniel's Chop House. The meal was absolutely delicious. They aren't on the menu but if you call ahead they will have veal chops for you. 5 of us got it and it was amazing. This has become one of my go-to meals on the island. Actually, I think I am still full writing this.

Afterward we hit up the Hyatt and Alhambra casinos. I did not partake in any games of chances, and I pat myself on the back for that. LOL Overall, I wasn't feeling the casino scene last night and made and early retreat and was back in the unit by like 1.

Ohh and I never made it to the store for supplies yesterday, so I guess I'll have to go today and replenish the stuff I've “borrowed” from friends.

You don’t hear much about Daniels on the forum but we’ve had some wonderfull meals there. Do you think you will give into the draw of the casino, or not so much?

Divi VIllage. A couple of friends I know have timeshares there and have for years. Another one has a different week here and another week at Divi Dutch, but he switches over to these weeks. And the rest of us rent or hop in where we can. I've got a cot this week and next week I'll either be on my friends couch or another cot with some folks. Luckily the rooms here are plenty big enough to accommodate a bunch of people.

Peg I'm gonna play it by ear. I think I'll play a little at some point if I'm feeling it. But I'm trying to manage myself this year so I'm really gonna need to be feeling it in order to play. Or if Happy Hour gets away from me.
