Live trip report starting early 6/5-6/9

I am smiling ear to ear while starting this report. Its been 2 long years, and 3 canceled trips since we have been on the island we all love. I just got my negative results so I am ready to go! This trip is special for so many reasons. The first trip in 2 years should be enough to make it incredible but when you add in its our 25th anniversary on Tuesday being in Aruba is going to be perfect!

It all started 25 years ago next week. We went to Aruba for the 1st time and stayed at the Hyatt that had recently just opened a few years back. We loved the Hyatt, and Aruba from day 1. We went back for our 5th year, 7th year, 10th year....and then another 27 other times, lol. As you know Aruba is special to us.

We will be staying at the Ritz this trip. We are going solo- my wonderful mother in-law is coming to take care of CJ so he does not miss 4 days of school....he has missed enough in person school the last 2 years.

We did our Jetblue vault testing this morning. It was a little stressful but very easy. I then brought them to UPS for an overnight shipment. Not getting them back in time was a worry....and when our good friends offered to have us come and test at their lab we got the orders from our dr and I went this morning...and got my results 6 hours later. My wife got hers done at 3pm and I expect to receive them by early in the morning at the latest.

It seems like we may actually make a trip happen after all! Can't wait to see my friends. My good friend Eddie said I am going to hug you so hard I may break your ribs, lol.

The only thing we have planned is dinner out with Eddie on Monday other than that we are relaxing! Probably drinking way to many Bacardi and diet relaxing on the club level. It will be a very short trip but we will be back in July for a full family trip for 10 nights then.

Is CJ really letting you go to Aruba without him?

Just logged in and my wifes results were already uploaded...and she too is negative thankfully. There was not any real worry about the what the results would be...just more nervous of the process. So far so good. Tonight we will do the last step and complete the ED card and all that is required.

One thing that I did not mention is we used our health care savings account to pay for our Vault testing....which it turns out we won't need. I will still follow that process and see when they process the test and provide me the results. I will print off both copies of our results just in case they don't approve of one- things to think about that Ive never worried about in the past 31 trips. I could see this process be overwhelming for people with limited computer skills- which was me as little as a year ago, lol. Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks
Trip 33 begins on July 15.
