    Manchebo!

We took your recommendations and stayed at Manchebo instead of Bucuti, and it was fantastic. I had a moment of wishing we were at our usual (Hyatt), because I missed the parrots, the pool, the restaurant, the shops, but I was willing to give it a shot over here because I did not want the kids, the crowds, and the noise. We loved the peacefulness of the beach! We had tons of massages at spa del sol. The restaurants are great - I was wishing I had gone another night to Omakase. We had a few meals over at Bucuti and it was nice too. One of the best parts was that when my husband got an ear infection, the front desk had Dr. Habibe on the phone, drove us across town to the only open pharmacy that night, and we were back at the resort all within less than an hour! That was incredible, and made me glad I chose Aruba over Jamaica (we had actually booked there first, and I was concerned about if we had a medical issue, like covid). Also, we floated around at the beach for hours with pool noodles, with pelicans diving right next to us, and even fish jumping through the air right through us! One day, the final leatherback turtle nest hatched, and we were there as they ran to the sea - amazing! Most of the locals had never even seen that before!! Definitely something that has been on my dream vacation list since childhood. We headed to Palm Beach for one day to eat and shop, and were even happier that we were not staying there. The beaches were crowded, palapas too close together, kids everywhere, dogs running around - it was nice to visit, then come back to our peaceful place. The water was definitely calmer in palm beach, but the waves at Manchebo didn't keep us from enjoying the water as much as we wanted. Thanks everyone for the great choice!!

Thanks for sharing all the good reasons we switched from Palm Beach years ago.... some folks love to stay at Palm Beach and some (like me) prefer Eagle. Just like you, we were fortunate to witness a turtle hatching at Manchebo 3 years ago.....such a magical experience!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

Manchebo is a wonderful resort. The turtle hatching was a huge bonus. We have yet to experience it but hope to someday. Glad you enjoyed!!

I have a timeshare near the Manchebo. I love going there for the restaurants and entertainment. I am glad you made Aruba your choice.
