I wasn't wowed either, especially with all the hype it receives. I've had better seafood at other restaurants on the island without the whole rez hassle and nicer atmosphere.

First time at wacky, loved it. Went to baby beach, so rough, couldn’t snorkel. Then went to rumrunner, lots of fun and drinks and pool. Tomorrow Boca Catalina and then our pool for the afternoon

Yesterday we stayed at Arashi, it was so calm and the water was crystal clear and calm. Last night we went to Quinta and I had the lobster and shrimp, delicious. Today we are doing Eagle Beach, never been. Our plan for tonight is hit the Ritz, haven’t really done the casinos cause hubby has been battling a cold. We might just get pizza tonight since we are booked with reservations every night til our friends leave on Saturday.

i can’t believe we are winding down. We leave on the 17th, next Tuesday. I miss my boy though he is enjoying himself getting pampered at my stepdaughter’s house. As we speak, I am sitting on the lanai with my coffee, this I will miss. Each morning we go for our walk from the ritz to the divi. I think today i am going to just relax.

As far as shopping, I miss the Caribbean Queen but I managed to purchase 2 diamond eternity bands to match the one I got last year. And of course my yearly Christmas ornament. I buy one each year.

our friends stay at LaCabana and I have to say what a nice resort that is. Its very active and very Islandy (is that even a word).

If "islandy" isn't a word, it should be.

Sorry to hear of battling cold........the in and out of airco and smokiness of casinos does not help.

Thanks for sharing your story. Will miss the trip reports after you leave.

Yesterday went to Baby Beach and then the guys snorkeled and we had delicious drinks upstairs at Rumrunners at the pool overlooking the beach. Wen5 to Terrazza last night then over at our friends house who lives down the block from us and played Cards Against Hunanity. Today I think its Boca Catalina.

we leave one week from today. Am beginning to get ready. Our friends leave Saturday. I miss my fur baby.

So i have a question about the Boardwalk. There is in the back like an apt with a huge tiki hut like over it. Is that an apt to rent or do the owners live there. Just curious, not interested. So the stuff is at Boca, hubby is there but I am washing clothes and will go later

The only thing I am sure of its not he owners quarters. Both owners live offsite with their families. Without seeing it I am guessing its the extra large apartment that I have seen available for rental but I could be wrong.
