Tuesday December 8
Today was another dry day with periods of clouds and sun.
The clouds provided for much relief from the sun.
We ran a couple of errands this morning and I saw a physical therapist (husband of a friend here on the island.) I needed some instruction on using kinesiology tape for my hamstring and calf muscles to relieve the tendonitis.
We wound up back at the pool for about 5 hours and spent lots of time in the water.
Paul had a Zoom meeting late afternoon and then we went up to Chihuahuas for dinner with Pam and Walt.
Paul had fajitas and Walt, Pam and I had something delicious…chicken with cheese and sour cream. It was very rich and filling. Margaritas were delicious. There was a hot sauce that was made with ghost peppers…..i dipped my fork in and then tasted. OMG it was hot.
We said our goodbyes til May and off to Alhambra we went.
We came back to Lacabana with a little money and Paul seems to think that we are only down $40 for the vacation. That is really good for us.
Tomorrow to Baby Beach, then to Janet’s in San Nic to pick up some real Jamaican Rum fruitcakes. Unlike you have ever had before. (these are not the typical Christmas fruit cakes)
Hope your tendinitis improves! Does the pool help?
no, unfortunately the pool does not help. (my fault)
I like to swim laps and the kicking, flutter or whip makes it worse.
I like to do water aerobics and that aggravates it.
the only cure is rest (per the dr)
so maybe the KTape will help.
if I got in the pool and did nothing I would be fine.
I have been using a thing at home, a pull buoy that prevents me from kicking while swimming.
I just hate it though.
Andrea, at the current Physical Therapy I go to they put on a tape for my hip problems. Not sure what it is but after 13 sessions it seems to be helping and has reduced the pain. I couldn't even walk 3 blocks without feeling pain and yesterday for the first time I was able to walk a little pain free.
I am too tired to type.
Will do my "aruba story" final day tomorrow in the airport lounge.
But Walt, I did order the Instant Ace Blender
Safe travels Andrea and Paul. Can’t believe it’s time for you to go home!!!
