Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Hi Andrea,

I have followed your Aruba trip on this thread and I am happy delighted that you got tested, that the results were what we all wanted for you and that you are now enjoying our favourite vacation place.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying yourselves, in spite of the occasional shower. Hey, just think of it as watering the plants.

I know you're not staying at SBS, but if you have driven by there yet, have you noticed if they have finished the walkway across the street from SBS? They were working on it in when we were there in October of last year.

Have a wonderful vacation Andrea. In spite of the differences between this year and previous years, I am sure all the things which make Aruba, well Aruba, are still plentiful.

    Pool morning or beach morning?

    Glenn

    Thanks Glenn.
we have Not noticed any walkway construction up near sunset studio. If I remember correctly that walkway was pretty well complete last time we were here last November. We have only been up that way once and the rain made it kind of difficult to notice we were concentrating on the driving.

Today was a pool day in the morning and then we got rained out and then hung out in the room and went for a ride and back to the pool at around two and here we are still.

Thank you for the good wishes Glenn you always have kind things to say.

    November 29 Sunday

We woke up to bright sun…woot woot, promptly said let’s sleep for another 20 min.
1 hour later the rain began as we were hauling our sorry sleepy tails into the car to head to Reflexions at Surfside Beach.
    "Ixnay" on that great plan.

We went back to the room to wait for the rain to stop and had a bagel and bloody mary.
The rain stopped, so out the the pool we went. Then it rained again, but we went into the pool anyway because, what the heck we were there. After I swam for a bit, I was still cold as the sun was not out and it was a cold rain. We left the pool, facetimed with our grandsons and participated in Happy Birthday song with our grandson Liam who turned 5 today. We showered and thought about plans for the afternoon. The plan at the moment was a nap.

Back to the pool at about 2:30 and spent 3 hrs there……….and were surprised when a friend came by with pizza and salad in hand!

We went to the Alhambra at about 9, lost pretty quickly and came back to LaCabana.

I know, it was a big yawn.

I hope tomorrow brings more sun!

Looking forward to seeing Pam, Walt, Bri, Tracey and Jon.
I hope that some others who are here in Aruba can join us as well.

    November 30 Monday

Ahhh SUN and not a drop of rain here today!

We spent the better part of the day at the pool and most of it in the water.
When Bingo started at 2 pm we retreated to our lounges under the umbrella.
I think there may have been a quite a long period of time that both of us were sound asleep under the umbrella on our lounges.

    Local Store gathering was FUN.
    Lively conversation and nice company!!
I added the photo to my google photos.
    We missed all of you.
I loved my Blue Burger…the funchi fries, not so much. They were a bit too rich or maybe heavy.
I am really beginning to love CHILL beer.

Casino……….we each started with $75 and left with $0. I think that we just do not understand the concept of winning LOL

a few photos added tonight. https://photos.app.goo.gl/K6JFHPUx18oB69Nh7
