Not sure exactly what happened as my face was in the phone. I looked up just as a guy was pulling a stroller out of the pool. A little boy crying but not wet. My guess is the boy accidentally pushed the stroller into the pool. He also pulled out a kids computer type thing which was drenched. Not sure there’s much hope for that working again. They walked away with sad faces but returned for breakfast at Fresco

Wow, how time flies. We will miss your posts very much. When you are in Aruba, you forget how important you reviews are to us.

Look at this handsome face! He curled up in back of my chair at the pool bar.

Go back and win a HUGE jackpot. I am wondering if they tax big winnings???? A couple of my best friends in Aruba hit a huge jackpot the other night at the Marriott. I wonder if they were American if they would have paid the same tax on their $50,000 win? They won the jackpot playing Caribbean stud poker....and they paid a grand total of ZERO in taxes! They went with a friend of theirs who has been chasing the big jackpots for the past few years....and my friend hits it within an hour of playing, lol.

Thank you Peg for your trip reports. It helps us get through the days until we can go again. Sorry to tell you that you will be coming back to snow. Not too much in your area and it is supposed to warm up and rain over the weekend. Enjoy the last of your sunshine and please bring some back to MA! Safe travels! PS - I'm writing down the names of the machines you used at the casino. I never win!!

$50000 wow that’s crazy. I figure if you’re American you would have to claim it coming back into the country and that’s where taxes would come in. My jackpots ranged from a low of $650 to a high of $1500 with no taxes.

Peg I hope one of us has to worry about that "when" we win the Ferrari at the Ritz. I have been told you can take 200k or the car...If I win I would I would look to open up an account in Aruba and transfer 5k at a time to avoid the taxes...if that was possible/legal to do so. I know you need to claim the cash coming back..but if its transferred out at less than 6k a wack????

Thanks! My best wins were a hand pay at Alhambra and 3 jackpots at Seaport. At Seaport the jackpots were on a Mighty Cash machine and another machine. I checked my photos but guess I didn’t take a picture of the machine. It had what looked like a large solar sun up top with empty bars under it. When you get a solar symbol it sometimes fills the bars with gold. That machine paid out twice. I also got a nice return at Crystal on a machine with a large tree at the top with gold coins. The name on it is FA CAI SHU. I always tend to go back to the same machines.

Can’t wait to get back to snow, NOT!

Thanks so much for the wonderful trip reports, Peg! Yes, you are unfortunately coming back to chilly New England. But no snow in the forecast! Safe travels!!

I don’t know Jay, I have a fair amount of entries. Even after taxes it would be a nice chunk if you sold it.
