Breakfast note; most of us who enjoy Aruba know how pesky those black birds can be when eating outside. Well, Manchebo has added this kite; like large black bird on a long pole. It swirls around in the wind and there is a noticeable difference in the number of birds

So glad you guys are enjoying your trip so far. We love Manchebo. Even though its out of our price range (We are next door at ABC) we are there often. Getting a massage (most beautiful spot!) Pega, Pega and the Chop House and their wonderful breakfast poolside. We think they have great coffee. One of us is afraid of birds, so the new swinging bird will be an added pleasure to breakfast.. What a great vibe there. We are so jealous of you guys. We will live thru your posts.
    Thanks so much,
    Sean and Susan

Gentle to medium waves with NO drop off. Temperature is perfect, refreshing but easy to get in. There is no experience that compares to floating in the ocean and watching pelicans!!!!

Glad you arrived and got settled and that Manchebo resolved the issue. As I type this I am sure you are enjoying the sun and sand while I'm waiting to leave work.

Casa Nonna is definitely on the list. I would like to grab dinner and spend a little time in the casino. I also like the gift shop at the Ritz. I picked up a T-shirt there in May that I just love.

Not wanting to overdue the sun on our first full day, I dragged myself away from the palapa around 12:30. The plan was to take the Alhambra golf cart shuttle over to the casino and have lunch at We R Cuba. Unfortunately, they no longer have air conditioning and we were looking for a cool spot. So, we ended up at Twist of Flavor. We had been there a few times and it was always okay but never wowed but today was a pleasant surprise. I’ll do a review in culinary.

Now you know it wouldn’t be right to take the Alhambra shuttle and not make a visit to the casino so we were obligated to go in. I always find Alhambra way too smoky but if you visit late afternoon it’s not as bad. They do have the Jackpot Inferno machines that I love and no longer can find in Vegas and I did pretty well on those. Plus I just have to play 88 Fortunes. They have some new machines I hadn’t noticed before like Ted and Zorro machines but I’m saving those for another visit. Don’t want to overdo it and get bored!!! Anyhow after a short profitable visit I left $500 up. Very pleased with myself for being disciplined and taking the money and running.
