I am six days out from my trip and after below-zero wind chills at home, I am ready!

On Thursday, I have an appointment for my Covid test here in my town. I had ordered and received a Vault test kit and was planning on doing that (just like last trip), but I discovered that the turn-around time for results done locally is 24-48 hours, so I should be good doing it that way. I will save my Vault kit for a test a number of days after I return home.

I already have an appointment for a test in Aruba two days before returning home, having arranged that even prior to the new US requirement.

Having just returned from a trip six weeks ago, packing the luggage will be a piece of cake. Some stuff has been set aside and ready to go since unpacking it a few weeks ago.

I will update next with news of my test result and the ED card process later in the week.

Good luck! I am with Andrea, extremely envious. We returned last week from Aruba and had to wait until today to get our local covid test before being able to return to work. It was the shortest line we have ever seen, yet we were told results would be returned in 3-7 days. I am hoping they were just giving themselves extra days to be safe. Cause when we tested prior to the trip the timeline was 1-3 days. Safe Travels. We are looking forward to your trip reports. We loved the island and everyone on the island was so appreciative.

I received my negative Covid test result in just over 48 hours after taking the test. The result has been uploaded, Aruba's Covid insurance has been paid, and the GREEN CHECK MARK has been received. I will be on my way to Aruba tomorrow!

6:00 a.m. flight, connecting through Miami, and landing in Aruba at 2:20 p.m.

See you on the other side!
