Starting this a little early as getting ready to spend 110 days is different than going for two weeks. There is so much that must get done.
We are now in the single digits! Trying to get ready is going okay. On Saturday, we did some prepacking to see what we can take and what will have to go next year. The new suitcases we bought are lighter, so it really helps because we have a lot of heavy items. We only have to leave a few items at home. The big change is only two large suitcases instead of 3 or 4.
We are scheduled for testing here in town on 12/9 at 9 am. Hoping the results are back in time.
These two weeks are busy trying to get things done. We had few things planned for these two weeks, such as, doctor’s appointment, haircuts, stocking the house with items my son likes to eat and stocking cleaning supplies for our house/office cleaners for home and Stu's office, doing some things for godson and his sister, etc. I am also making meals around what needs to be used before we leave. However; now we have to add a few more things in-the service light came on, so the Pilot needs to be serviced before we leave, the router was acting up, so we had to replace that, they now have decided that Monday is the day they are coming to do all the work necessary to install the whole house gas generator so when it finally comes in all they have to do is the outside work, and Wednesday the company Stu ordered client gifts from said they could not get what he ordered and he had to go running around trying to get what he needs. We are also trying to get an online driving class done to keep our insurance rates down which is beyond boring. There are several other things that have popped up over the past few days, too.
We also don’t know how we are getting to the airport hotel. David usually takes us, but has no set work schedule because he is a new training program. I am hoping he is working that evening because the office is a few minutes from the airport hotel.
