A wise man is easily fooled.... but only a fool would fool a wise man...!
CP-not an amature drinker, just getting older.
B-we have not been to the food truck yet-just the one from Asi Es mi Peru for lunch when we arrived.
I got up later than usual because I knew I wasn't going to walk. We had the men coming to work on the brackets on the balcony at 830 and I wanted to be around. It didn't go well as the items Stu bought at home were not right and there were things he did not buy. I guess it will get done next year.
While they were still figuring out everything and talking to the company back home, I made my escape and went grocery shopping with my neighbor and her cousin. We went to DoIt and Super Food and then came back before it showered again. Doit is really adding new refrigeration units and expanding their groceries.
Since it was showering off and on, we just watched TV in the pm, then went to Terrereza for dinner. Stu had a bucket of Chills and a veggie pizza and I had a margarita and a 4 cheese pizza. We ate about half and we really enjoyed it. While we were waiting for our check, it started to rain again and since we were not under the covering we had to wait by the bar to get out of the rain which did not last long. We walked back and are just hanging out.
I decided to stick close for my walk today. I was stopped by a couple staying on the 5th floor. They said water was pouring off the rooftop deck and thought a hot tub had an issue. They said it was coming through the ceiling in the corridor of the 5th floor. I looked and water was pouring down the front of the building. Water ran down one elevator(they shut it off) and down one set of stairs. I went in to check our unit as they went grocery shopping. Our condo was fine and I went back out to continue my walk. I stopped to talk to one of the guys who works here and he told me it wasn't a hot tub. The main pipe going into the unit that the couple I was talking to broke-the pipes run under the corridor ceilings and enter the condos along the ceilings. I think they were in for a shock when they returned.
Finished my walk using the treadmill, did 10 minutes on the bike and a few other exercises. I had gone to that gym the other day and it was locked. I went downstairs to find out why. I had forgotten they were reserving it for owners(because of covid0. I learned there was a hidden key and I had the gym to myself. I finally made my way to the condo around 1130. Hung out in the condo reading until I had to leave to get gas and for my hair appointment.
Dinner was leftovers. Just hanging out tonight.
Went for my walk, finished it in the gym, then a few more things in the gym which I had to myself-love that. After having a very late breakfast and a shower, I watched watched part of the inauguration while having lunch. I headed to the pool for the rest of the afternoon around 130 and only got caught in the rain once-it was nice other than that shower. Dinner was at home.
Slept in today. I took my friend and her cousin downtown again today. We shopped at the Renaissance Mall(I didn't buy anything). I was glad to see that the shop with all the local artist is still there. I am looking for something different to bring back for my godson and his sister and I think I will go back there before we leave to buy them something for their bedroom walls.
We headed to the Marketplace and lunch at the Dutch Pancake House. They've changed their menu again. They have less on it, but you can "make your own" pancake. This was my friend's cousin first trip to Aruba and she wanted to try a Dutch Pancake. I had a small order poffertjes with nutella and it was great as always. We made a stop at DoIt for my friend to return an item she purchased and then we were back here around 2 pm. I did some prep for dinner and just hung out with hubby. We ate at home and are just watching the news. Stu is working tonight and I think I will work on Ancestry tonight.
I like the pancake with Nutella and strawberries at the Dutch Pancake House. So far, it’s my favorite for dessert. For the savory I like the onion and bacon version. It’s a nice spot to people watch.
Did you happen to notice if the Mopa Mopa store was open I always like to poke in there.
