    Friday

We started the day with a walk to Bugaloe for breakfast with a view and some mimosas. I really enjoy their breakfast. They have a sign in list for contact tracing and take your temperature. After breakfast we did a little more walking then made our way back to Playa Linda. I really wanted to go to Mangel Halto and told Jon he could come or not, up to him. He decided to come. We had a nice ride and the colors there are simply stunning.
From there it was back to the beach for the day. We had the tuna poke bowls from Eduardos, they are so good.and fresh.
Around 4 we headed to Pelicans Nest. The bar area is only open Friday- Sunday and we needed to get our fix. We actually got to sit at the bar but we heard that will be ending today with the new restrictions. They have changed their drink recipes and are using only fresh juices. Boy, does it make a difference. We had more than a few rounds and some great conversations with the staff. It was so strange sitting at a bar, it has been so long, pre-Covid really. We had a great time.
We got to our balcony for another beautiful sunset. I hope my real camera got better pics, I will have to see when we get home.
We had planned Tango for our anniversary but we weren't very hungry so we went to Azia for dumplings and sushi. Wow, this has quickly become a new favorite for us. The courtyard and outside seating is lovely. Service was perfect and food full of flavor. I will do restaurant reviews from home with pictures.
We did a little shopping. Jon got some shirts and I bought a few of the hand made Aruba soaps. there is a little store right in the plaza with Azia and Daniel's across from Hilton.
Last stop of the night was the Hyatt casino. Since our wedding night in Vegas when we hit pretty big, we play roulette every anniversary. No luck for us this year on the roulette table, we are now about even in casinos right now.
Today is our last full day. Im feeling kind of lazy so it will likely just be a beach day.
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

    Jon's perspective

As we sit and watch our last sunset, Jon is reflecting on how different this trip has been. He has a kind of been there done that view of things. He said Aruba is the place we will always have for relaxation but he is ready to explore other places. We talked a lot about what we wanted to do this trip and he kept shooting down my ideas. Today he says the main reason is that we have seen so many things and he feels like there isn't anything new to see. I'm kind of shocked by his feelings but I also understand. I wish we were in a position to do one exploration and one Aruba trip each year, maybe we will be soon. He keeps telling me he is not disappointed, it just feels different to him. Civid feels like it is changing at many things and even our feelings.

Tracy the world seems different right now and unfortunately we are not yet in a position to really explore other places. I hope when I retire in a few years I can do some trips to Europe and explore Paris, Germany, Spain, Rome, Greek Island Etc. But I will always include a once a year trip to Aruba. Safe travels tomorrow and thanks for sharing your trip, photos etc I really enjoyed it.

Sadly I almost agree with Jon. I too am ready for some new experiences and don't see us returning as often as we have in the past decade or so. That said I am praying we can go for our 25th this June. Our goals have changed...if I did not have such great friends in Aruba I am not sure how much we would go going forward as there is so much of the world we have yet to see with over 30 trips to Aruba through the years.

Happy belated anniversary! In the midst of my own preparations, I am just catching up on reading your report.

When Sunday is check-out day, there's a sad, Saturday feeling at Playa Linda -- knowing the last full day is at hand. Sounds like you took good advantage of and enjoyed the resort.
