    Trip Report 1/26-2/11

I’ve been reading trip reports since I found this forum! I have good intentions of a daily report, but I know me well, hopefully I’ll keep up! We are flying out of Chicago at 5:00 am on the 26th with a layover in Miami. Should arrive around 3:00pm.

Not sure what happened with my original post but the last paragraph is not there. We have been to Aruba several times via cruise ship and this is our 3rd “land” vacation to Aruba. We have an AirBNB booked in Savaneta. We stayed there last February and love the location. Looking forward to ocean breezes, warm sunshine and great places to eat.

    Sometimes postings just "disappear"
I post all of my Aruba Story is a WORD Doc.
Then I just copy and paste it into the place where it belongs in My Aruba Story.

    Safe travels and enjoy!!
Looking forward to reading of your adventures.

Almost time to fly! ED card done and uploaded to Verifly, boarding passes downloaded on my “wallet”. Dog/house sitter times confirmed! If only Mother Nature cooperates! Just need to clean the house, finish packing, I am not a carry on only girl, and go visit my mom! We’re leaving the house at 2am, gonna be a short night.

Thursday, January 26. We have arrived! Our flight leaving Miami was delayed 30 minutes we arrived in Aruba around 3:30. We quickly walked to customs, scanned our passports and headed to baggage claim. Stopped at duty free for adult beverages. Headed out to find our rental from Top Drive. Manny was waiting for us in the center curb with a van. He drove us to their office, maybe a 2 minute drive. Because I had done everything online , hubboy only showed his driver’s license. Manny re-loaded the luggage to our car and off we went! So much faster than main stream rental companies!

We drove to our condo in Savaneta, unloaded luggage, then to West Deck for grouper fingers and 2 amaretto Rita’s! Back “home” to unpack.
