We’re home! The airport was easy. We got through everything and were at the gate within an hour. We picked up two bottles of Grey Goose at the duty free shop. We used Global Entry that had no line at all but the regular US Customs line really didn’t look too bad. Maybe we saved about 20 minutes with GE.
Uneventful flight to JFK. We landed a few minutes early and were at the gate and off the plane fairly quickly. Again the walk to baggage was l-o-n-g! I must have looked pathetic because one of the porters who was driving the cart thingy took pity on me and gave us a ride.
The car service picked us up outside and the driver knew all the shortcuts to miss the traffic. We were home in 45 minutes, dropped off our luggage and walked into town for a quick bowl of pasta at the neighborhood Italian restaurant. Plenty of time to unpack and face the laundry tomorrow.
‘We’re looking forward to seeing the grandkids tomorrow. We missed the little monsters!
