Thursday morning was spent looking for a friend from one of cruise ships. I walked back and forth from 10-11, went in for something cold and back out from 12-1245. I have no idea if they decided to do something else, wasn't feeling or gave me the wrong date. I tried texting her and FB messenger. I guess she didn't pay for WiFi. I wasn't happy, as it was hot and only a faint breeze, but I did get in my steps. After lunch I hung out at the pool and got caught up with a friend that just came in. Dinner was leftovers since we were hanging out and chatting.

Today we headed to the Honda dealer, dropped off the car for the oil change and walked to Dutch Pancake House for breakfast. We walked around the Marketplace checking out what is new. The Amuse BBQ looks great. The 5 O'clock Somewhere is right in the center. We notice that Los Soles moved from Palm Beach Mall. We never ate there, but the owner is the son of the the previous owners of the condo. We walked back and waited about 15 minutes for the car to be done. While we were waiting we watched as they unloaded a shipping container of parts while an Aruban tax official checked off the items. I also checked out the CRVs. The next stop was to Barcadero make an appointment and pay for our car inspection which they assigned to us about a month from now. A quick stop at PriceSmart and then home by 10:30/11:00. I did my morning computer routine and then headed to the pool. I'd like to say I got some reading done, but that was not the case. It's really nice to have the same group of people here-at least for the next month. Finally came up around six and then made Kesha Yena for dinner(luckily I had prepped most of it last night).

Friday night there were tons of motorcycles going by the condo. I figured at least 50 and our friend counted them and said there were 97 of them.

Saturday. I went to LaCabana for a mani and pedi. She did a nice job, but it was so much more than I pay at home and more than I've paid in the past. They charged for taking off my gel polish. Headed to the beach with friends who are early risers and get a palapa. It was a beautiful day and the water was calm and go even calmer as the day went on(my friend does not like the waves, but I grew up with them). We were in and out of the warm water all day. The beach was very busy being Betico Croes Day. Lots of locals enjoying the day. Headed back around 5 with them and met up with the couple(they live within 10 minutes of Stu's sister) who we had dinner with the other night and had drinks by the pool. Dinner was late on the balcony. I got sunburned on my back which really surprised me because as of a week ago people in the stores thought I was Aruban.

Today. Headed back to the beach with our friends. It was a cloudier day, but really nice and the water was very calm. We didn't go in much because it wasn't as warm. The day was pretty much a repeat of yesterday minus some friends who were not out at all today. The sunsets have been really beautiful. A little bit of clouds really makes the sky so red.

I have a friend who was part of that motorcycle caravan.
    I bet it was LOUD!!!

    On no, sunburn.

Are you seeing more folks using the reef safe sunblock instead of the ones that will soon be banned?

I really haven't paid attention to what people are using on the beach as far as sunscreen goes.

Yes, the motorcycles were loud, but it wasn't as bad as you'd think. I was in the bathroom and it got my attention. They were coming down the street the driveway into Oceania is on and making the right onto Irausquin. The line seemed endless. It was very cool.

Thank-you. Next year we will not be here as long because we have another adventure planned in mid March.

I was so tired last night and kept nodding off all evening and by the time it came to go to bed I could not sleep so I read. I finally got to bed and woke up early. I was in SuperFoods before nine am and then to DoIt for a set of plates, bowls, etc. We were missing some of our plates and I was going to buy what we needed at home because they sell them open stock, but decided to just get a set(4 of each) and keep the extra pieces in case something breaks. They opened the box and checked each item-they'd never do that at home. Once back in the condo, I was just too tired and my one spot of sunburn hurt enough not to go out today. I decided to just to hang in the condo, read, nap and do some laundry. For dinner(hubby's idea) we went to the beach with wine, cheese and bread. We saw some friends and joined them. They lent us our table(I'm going back to DoIt tomorrow to buy one for us) and we chatted as we watched the sunset-beautiful again tonight. We were also joined by some dogs on the beach (with their owners). Just hanging out now. I did make reservations on Saturday for the Black Pearl in March and Aruba Ray and dinner before the show at Giannis in Feb. We've never been to Giannis, but a friend of ours from home who was born in Italy loves it, so that's good enough for us to try it.

Tuesday. A few errands-groceries, DoIt, etc. Then down to the pool which was quiet and I read until hubby joined me. Some friends stopped by and decided to join us next month for dinner and Aruba Ray. Made dinner and ate on the deck. Stu had an evening appointment and I did laundry and read.

Wednesday. Stu was up early to go fishing with a friend. I finished up the laundry and joined a friend at the beach while the guys were fishing. Headed in at 1230 to find hubby putting away some of the fish. Both guys caught about an 18 pound Wahoo. Most of it went to the Driftwood for our dinner tonight. I quick shower and lunch and I was off to my mosaic class. It is taking so much less time to get there and back. I guess the new highway is really absorbing a lot of traffic that used to use Rt. 4. Another quick shower and we were off to dinner with our friends to eat what the guys caught. They brought it cooked 4 different ways with 4 sauces on a huge platter(veggies were on our individual plates). We really had a great time. Now just sitting and getting caught up on things. I did add a few pictures to the site in my signature.

    those 2 fishermen did wonderfully!
    dinner looked delicious.

have you driven on the new highway much?

wahoo is one of my favorites......I do it on a grilling pan with a bit of a sauce/glaze of olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and cajun spice (only a little)
