    I hope you feel better.

The urgent care is very good. I took hubby there in Jan. 2020 and he was diagnosed with pneumonia. It was $150 for the visit. They gave him 3 meds which we filled at the pharmacy by the hospital. One med was an inhaler. I looked up the prices at home and the inhaler at home if someone had to pay out of pocket for would have been 2x the cost of all the meds he got. Our insurance reimbursed us for the $150. Our prescription plan reimbursed for the cost of meds except for our normal copay.

    Big Yellow Taxi

It's official: Ling's has supplanted Superfood for "Worst Parking Lot". It's like a war zone over there... the lines defining the spaces are practically non-existent and it's bedlam from a traffic perspective. Given the premium they charge on groceries relative to other stores, you'd think they'd put a little more effort into customer convenience. I only go there when I absolutely have to now.Smokies and Cabot Cheddar. Done.

Everybody is still masking in the grocery stores - I think people are recognizing that we're not out of the woods yet. Aruba is soooo close to the approximated herd immunity percentage but I'm not sure they'll get there as the major pushes for vaccination over the last few weekends couldn't get the island over the top. Maybe when people understand some of the limitations/ramifications of not vaccinating, the island will get there. I hope so. The island has done incredibly well at organizing around this nightmare that it would be a shame to see them slide backwards.

    Fingers crossed.

Have you heard the one where a car grazed my arm in the Lings parking lot? Of course you would have proud of the dramatic reaction I had. All day, Jon I got hit by a car today, can you just handle everything. Jon, I got hit by a car yesterday can you take our towels down to the beach? LOL. Its like a fish story when I tell it, gets better every time. In reality I have accidentally walked into cars with more impact than the car grazed me, but I agree and am not a fan of that parking lot after "accident"
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

    Our Home and Native Land

Well... the Feds have opened the border to fully-vaccinated Canadians to return to the mothership. So the logistics begin. Unfortunately, no direct flights so we'll be schlepping through a connection. I'm sure it'll all be sunshine and lollipops.

Some big changes coming down the pipe for us that we're looking forward to and I'll post about later. An air of mystery!

Interesting side note: our Canadian friends, family and neighbours are pulling out calendars to see if they'll be full vaccinated by the time we return - "Can we hug? Let me check the calendar."

Thanks, again, to Aruba for getting us across that finish line way ahead of the Canucks!

I did read about them letting you go home. At least you will be going home when it is warm. I will miss your trip reports once you finally get back north.
