Bucuti - is it worth it?

We haven't been to Aruba in about 10 years and always stayed at the Hyatt with points. We don't have points now, and no kids are joining us as well, so I am looking at Bucuti. It is hard to justify the price there for a room with ocean view, but that's what I would really want. Is it worth the price to upgrade to an even more expensive room, or even is it worth the price to go to Bucuti vs. Hyatt or anywhere else for that matter? Thanks.

People absolutely adore the Bucuti. The resort markets an exclusive experience. We stayed in a Tara Suite about 4 years ago. As suites go, it’s pretty small but quite comfortable. The beach is beautiful and it is quiet, really quiet. We had toured the resort on a prior visit and thought it would be perfect. For us though it wasn’t a good fit. We didn’t care much for the food at Elements although the restaurant and outside deck are gorgeous. So, we enjoyed the beach and left the resort for meals

Full disclosure, we are definitely in the minority with our thoughts on the Bucuti.

if you want that expansive beach and 0 children, then yes that would be $ well spent for Bucuti.

    OR

how about next door at the Manchebo for less $$, beach just as expansive and very few children?
Manchebo is very nice as well!

the Hyatt is nice, very nice. but if you want a beach to die for........go back to the Bucuti and Manchebo for another looksee.

I'd vote 'yes'... post-pandemic when you can take advantage of the facilities and the wonderful Sandbar, Elements and Senses.

I couldn't imagine being masked there and having to navigate that.

The older I get the more I cherish the tranquility of Manchebo..... lots of space and very few (if any) kids.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

You will love Manchebo! Their restaurants are great. The staff is genuinely friendly, especially the beach attendant, Joseul. While at Bucuti, we checked out Manchebo and decided it had more of what we were looking for and we have been happy there.
